Solomon’s Porch: Metaphor
We are a Community of: Relational, Missional, Worshippers of Jesus Christ
Solomon’s Porch is a biblical community of vulnerable and real people who desire to keep free from the performance-oriented, surface-only religious lifestyle, but rather, true-to-the-core life of fellowship.
At Solomon’s Porch we cherish:
our Relationships, our Worship experience, and our Service in the community.
Our passion can be summed up in four Core Values:
Acts 5:12 (MsgB)
Through the work of the apostles, many God-signs were set up among the people, many wonderful things done. They all met regularly and in remarkable harmony on the Temple porch named after Solomon.
Many God signs: People recognized that God was moving among them. It was demonstrated by Miracles (KJV calls them signs and wonders).
Many wonderful things done:
They all met regularly and in remarkable harmony: Harmony in a church is a miracle in its self. This was a place they were incredibly REAL. They were real with God, Real with others, and real with themselves.
Solomon’s Porch was a place where Peter and John performed their first miracle after the resurrection of Jesus Christ
The man threw his arms around Peter and John, ecstatic. All the people ran up to where they were at Solomon's Porch to see it for themselves.
It was also a place where Jesus often taught.
John 10:23 (MsgB)
Jesus was strolling in the Temple across Solomon's Porch.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SOLOMON’S PORCH:
“How to” not “Ought to”:
We're not an "ought to" church, we're a "how to" church. Nobody plans to make mistakes and nobody bats a thousand. Most of us know what we "ought to" do already. We need a place were we can receive biblical training on "how to" do it!
The teaching at Solomon’s Porch is aimed to train. That's why it's a great place to grow a family, heal a marriage and rest your soul. Solomon’s Porch is a place to get the relationships and resources to help you renew and continue your spiritual pursuit. It's a community where you can actually improve your inner life and your home life.
We're a family to belong to:
We're not an institution to buy into; we're a family to belong to.
Solomon’s Porch is a healthy, safe and fun place to grow kids and teens. It's a place for families of all shapes and sizes. It is an environment where stepfamilies, young couples, single parents, empty nesters and single people can discover an extended family. All in their own timing, of course.
We're not here to invite you to church; we're here to equip you for your life's journey.
Each person’s journey is unique and every journey calls you to experience what is important to your soul.
Your journey to others
Your journey with others
Your journey to GOD
Your journey with GOD
Your journey through Life

A familiar hymn (“Traditional”) done in a non-traditional way (“Neo”)
Thematic art ("neo")
A communion altar ("traditional")
Teaching with PowerPoint and movie clips ("neo")
Candlelight prayer ("traditional")
Sound and relevant Bible teaching ("traditional")
We are casual - not formal.
